How does it work?

KindaBusy connects OpenAI's latest speech-to-speech models with telephony systems, so you can have an advanced voice AI (like ChatGPT's Voice Mode) answering your calls. Our platform is built specifically for this use case, letting you customize the AI and even set up different responses for different contacts.

Is it accurate?

General-purpose AI models are getting pretty impressive these days. That said, factors like telephone audio quality can impact results (it's hard enough for humans to hear on bad calls sometimes!). Still, the tech is constantly improving. Accuracy also depends on how you set the AI's instructions, but we've got a solid default setup to get you started.

What about privacy?

We take privacy seriously—especially when it comes to AI. Here's what you should know:

  • Your data will not be used to train AI models.
  • It's encrypted both in transit and at rest.
  • We use SOC2-compliant vendors to store data securely.
  • We don't store any audio recordings.
  • You can easily delete your data whenever you want, and once it's gone, it's gone. If you delete your entire account, all associated data disappears permanently.

Why do I need to create an account to try the demo?

We require accounts to limit abuse of the demo. Each demo account gets a quota for testing the service fairly.

Can I use this for my business?

Why did you create this app?

Honestly? I was tired of getting spam calls from unknown numbers but still wanted to catch the important ones. AI call screening felt like the perfect solution. I know Google offers something similar, but it’s not available here in New Zealand and only works for Google users—so why not make a dedicated service for everyone?
